The fair-stage standard

Competition Rules

These rules describe the product controls built into VocalCrown. Final launch rules must name the operator, eligible countries, prizes, dates, taxes, and governing law.

These launch drafts require review for the countries, prizes, and legal entity selected by the owner.

1. Eligibility

The production MVP is for people aged 18 or older who live in a country enabled for the relevant competition. A valid Google account is required to submit or vote. Eligibility, prize availability, and local restrictions may differ by edition.

2. One singer, one take

Each entry evaluates exactly one singing voice. The singer may perform a cappella or with instruments played live. Additional instrument players may appear but may not sing. Duets, choirs, backing vocals, karaoke tracks, stems, rendered accompaniment, and pre-recorded voices are not permitted.

The performance must be one continuous take. Trimming before or after the performance and normal device processing are allowed. Comping, pitch correction, timing alteration, cloned or generated voices, and edits that combine takes are not allowed.

3. Entry limits and files

One participant may submit one performance per competition. The initial technical limits are MP4, MOV, or WebM, 30 seconds to 5 minutes, and no more than 1 GB. A replacement may be made while submissions remain open and the entry has not been approved or published.

4. Rights and permissions

Participants keep ownership of their recording and grant VocalCrown a non-exclusive licence sufficient to store, review, publish, display, promote, and monetise the entry. The participant confirms they have permission from everyone identifiable in the recording and understands that a song composition may still receive a copyright claim or restriction.

5. Moderation

Every entry is reviewed before publication. VocalCrown may approve, reject, request changes, withdraw, or disqualify an entry for rule, safety, rights, platform-policy, eligibility, or technical reasons. Moderation records are retained for integrity and appeals where offered.

6. Voting and ranking

Voting occurs only during the published voting period. A signed-in user may vote for as many different eligible performances as they wish, but may hold no more than one active vote per performance. Pressing Voted again removes that vote.

The official ranking uses valid votes recorded on VocalCrown. YouTube views, likes, comments, and subscriptions are informational and never determine the result. Results remain provisional until auditing is complete. Suspicious or invalid votes may be removed with an administrative audit record.

7. Ties and winners

A tie that affects a prize position is resolved by a panel using a published voice-only tie-break procedure. Prize values, winner verification, claim deadlines, taxes, and disbursement terms must be stated in each edition’s final rules.

8. YouTube notice

YouTube is not a sponsor of this competition and is not responsible for its administration. Participation must comply with YouTube’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines where applicable. No entrant is required to manipulate YouTube engagement to compete.

9. Changes and incidents

The operator may pause submissions, voting, or publication to protect security, fairness, participants, or data. Material rule changes are versioned and are not silently applied retroactively.
